Glenfiddich 15 was created using a pioneering production technology, namely "solera". Aged in European oak sherry casks and new oak barrels, the whisky is mellowed in the unique 'solera' cask, which is inspired by the sherry wineries of Spain and Portugal. The 'solera' cask in question has not been emptied and has been kept half full of whisky since 1998. It is the culmination of the family's inquisitive minds and innovative spirit. It is also the secret that makes Glenfiddich 15 the first 15-year-old whisky in the top 10 best-selling malts. A complex blend of sweet forest honey and vanilla combined with dark fruit flavours. Amazingly smooth in texture and with great depth of flavour combining sherry, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger, spice, honey and fruit.
