This wine is a perfect balance between the fruity notes of the Merlot and the toasty tones of the Syrah. A rich dark ruby colour. The nose is attractive and ripe with notes of rosehip marmalade, sun-dried tomato and discreet earthy notes. Light body with ripe tannins and a smooth finish. Pairs well with red grilled meats, barbecue and pasta with tomato sauce.

Bessa Valley

Bessa Valley

The Bessa Valley project started in 2001 with the purchase of land from about 800 owners in Ognyanovo (Pazardzhik region). Bessa Valley is located on 2,500 acres, 1,400 of which are already occupied. The main cellar is convex in an arc dug into the rugged hill. Next to it is the Rotunda, in which the grapes ferment. A pergola connects the cellar with the administrative building. The walls of the buildings are lined with limestone, in which marine inhabitants have left their traces. Part of the cellar is dug into the rock, which is essential for the storage and aging of wine in barrels. The scale allows maintaining a constant temperature and humidity.

Thracian valley

Thracian valley

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is temperate continental protected from northern winds thanks to Stara Planina, with good rain distribution. It includes the central parts of the Thracian lowland and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. Mavrud, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Muscat, Pamid and others are grown. The climatic conditions of the region favour the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines, especially from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrud. Good wines from the local variety Mavrud are especially valued for their aroma and taste of small red fruits, spices and herbs.
