Dégustation Dinner Valley of the Loire

The tasting dinner, dedicated to a less-known French wine region along the Loire River Valley, caused great interest among wine lovers.

Loire is not that famous with its wines in Bulgaria, but it is a region with a very nice terroir and varieties that deserve attention. We emphasized on the most known appellations Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, famous for the Sauvignon Blanc variety. We tasted 3 different types of Sauvignon from different terroirs, a beautiful Viognier, and finished with red Pinot Noir wine from the Sancerre appellation. All of them were from one producer: Fournier Père et Fils, a family winery with a tradition dating back to the 1950s and has been growing to this day. Mineral, fresh, elegant, spicy wines with expressive characters that we combined with an exquisite selection of food. Guests were also visibly impressed by the good price-quality ratio of the wines.

The team, as well as the owner of the restaurant himself, had taken care of the wonderful atmosphere and food by presenting a properly sophisticated 5-course menu to perfectly combine with the selected wines. Very original was the presentation of the compliment from the restaurant: the surprise dessert, which was actually the 6th course of the menu.
