Magnificent power and concentration, impressive harmony and balance - an aristocrat among wines. And a wine with remarkable potential! Created by the master oenologists of Besa Valley Mark Dworkin, Svetlozar Djurov, Ivaylo Ivanov and Bozina Angelova. The vineyard of Besa Valei is located in the land of the village of Ognyanovo in Pazardzhik and has a total area of 140 ha. The vineyards were planted in the period 2001-2006. Each variety is fermented separately. They are aged for 18 months in new French medium-bodied barriques. Each variety matures independently and the best barrels of each type are blended.

The idea of producing a classy wine that reveals the potential of the terroir is impressively executed.

Bessa Valley

Bessa Valley

The Bessa Valley project started in 2001 with the purchase of land from about 800 owners in Ognyanovo (Pazardzhik region). Bessa Valley is located on 2,500 acres, 1,400 of which are already occupied. The main cellar is convex in an arc dug into the rugged hill. Next to it is the Rotunda, in which the grapes ferment. A pergola connects the cellar with the administrative building. The walls of the buildings are lined with limestone, in which marine inhabitants have left their traces. Part of the cellar is dug into the rock, which is essential for the storage and aging of wine in barrels. The scale allows maintaining a constant temperature and humidity.

Thracian valley

Thracian valley

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is temperate continental protected from northern winds thanks to Stara Planina, with good rain distribution. It includes the central parts of the Thracian lowland and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. Mavrud, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Muscat, Pamid and others are grown. The climatic conditions of the region favour the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines, especially from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrud. Good wines from the local variety Mavrud are especially valued for their aroma and taste of small red fruits, spices and herbs.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon

This is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth - a natural crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. From its origins in Bordeaux, this vine has successfully spread to almost every wine growing country in the world. Cabernet Sauvignon wines always demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, excellent tannic structure and aromas of black berries and spices.
