Godello Merayo 2022
Pale, transparent, golden yellow colour with an intense nose of green apple and stone fruit and traces of citrus and fennel. Mineral sensations envelop the wine and give it great complexity. The palate is rounded and voluminous without losing the sense of freshness. Sensations of citrus, green apple and minerality. The influence of ageing appears in the mouth, enveloping the wine and giving it a pleasant, slightly sweet sensation of overall harmony. Suitable for pairing with starters, seafood and fish.

Bodegas Merayo
In 2010, Pedro established ‘Merayo Bodegas y Viñedos Merayo’. After a life in the wine world, he has devoted the last 20 years to restoring and maintaining the family vineyards. The majority of the vines are more than 80 years old. For decades the Merayo family was one of the most important names in the Bierzo region (with bodega Merayo which closed its doors in 1989). Pedro then invested time in completely renovating the vineyards with a view to making good wines from the local grape varieties, which in Bierzo's case means mostly Mencia and Godello. He built the new bodega on the family estate and began to make wine there in 2010. The results were not long in coming.
