Indie Xisto Luis Seabra 2022
A magnificent blend of black varieties typical of the Douro Valley, coming from a single vineyard over 70 years old in Cima Corgo. Fermented with indigenous yeast, 100% whole clusters, foot trodden in concrete tanks. Aged 18 months in 500l French oak barrels and 2500l oak casks from Eastern Europe.
On the nose there's abundance of aromas - ripe black plum, cherry and raspberry, floral notes and ground spices such as white pepper, anise and cardamom. The palate has a medium to full bodied with powdery tannins, plenty of crunchy fruit and a long and persistent finish.

More about this product

Luis Seabra
For nearly two decades, Luís Seabra has been at the center of a cultural shift in Portuguese winemaking, leading a movement of young, independent winemakers making history by reclaiming historical vineyards, grape varieties, and techniques. After a celebrated career as a soil researcher in Vinho Verde, enology instructor, and producer of world-famous still wines in Douro, Seabra finally launched his own small winery in 2013, Luís Seabra Vinhos. His work is dedicated to proving that fresh, elegant, terroir-driven still wines can be made in this region, despite centuries of traditions that favor overripe fruit, and massive internationally owned wineries.
