Cabernet Franc Incanto Medi Valley 2021
Incanto Cabernet Franc is the latest red wine from of Medi Valley.
Cabernet Franc from the winery’s own vineyards in the extreme northwest of Bulgaria, has been showing excellent qualities for years and expresses in the most intriguing way the different and unique terroir.
This wine is made from the best grapes of the own vineyards in the village of Boynitsa. The grapes were picked manually, and then delivered in boxes to the cellar where they were selected on a double sorting table. All kinds of impurities, stalk parts, remained after the separation of the grapes from the stalks, were removed. The fermentation was in inox tanks under 25-30°С temperature. It matured 12 months in new French barrels “barriques” type, where it reached harmony and completeness.
The color is beautiful, deep red with violet shades. The aroma is composed of blackcurrant, ripe fruit, blueberry leaves and berries, complemented by chocolate, vanilla and confit tones. The body is voluminous, fruity, with spicy tannins, dense, warm and harmonious, with ripe sweetness and hints of coffee and chocolate. Long and exotic aftertaste.

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is temperate continental protected from northern winds thanks to Stara Planina, with good rain distribution. It includes the central parts of the Thracian lowland and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. Mavrud, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Muscat, Pamid and others are grown. The climatic conditions of the region favour the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines, especially from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrud. Good wines from the local variety Mavrud are especially valued for their aroma and taste of small red fruits, spices and herbs.
