Touriga Nacional - perhaps the most appreciated and valued variety in Portugal, one of the base in the finest red wines from Dao and Douro wine regions, also a key ingredient in the fortified wines of Port together with Tempranillo. The variety displays bold dark-fruit flavours, often with hints of spice, leather and violet, has firm tannins and shows great ageing potential.
