More about this product

Tardieu-Laurent

Tardieu-Laurent

Tardieu-Laurent Winery was founded in 1994 by two friends - the famous Burgundy merchant Dominique Laurent and the energetic winemaker Michel Tardieu. As one of the class producers in the Rhone Valley, they use the oldest vineyards from the best plots in the Rhone, work with organic and biodynamic farmers and establish long-term relationships. Over the years, they have gained an influence that provides them with the best wines from the cellars of some of the largest estates in the region. Such a careful selection of a large number of plots and the care it requires upon arrival at the cellar cannot be done on a large scale. Today, Tardieu-Laurent's production remains limited, with two-thirds of the wine coming from the south and one-third from the north of the Rhone. Wines are sought after by connoisseurs around the world and regularly earn high marks from respected wine critics. Anyone interested in the grandeur of the Rhone Valley will be happy to do so with the wines of the Tardieu-Laurent.

Rhone Valley

Rhone Valley

The Rhone Valley is a long, narrow strip in the south of France. In practice, this region is divided into two sub-regions, each with its own type and identity - North and South Rhone. The northern part is best known for its legendary and long-lasting red wines, mainly from Syrah grapes: Hermitage, Ivory Coast, St. Joseph and Cornas, as well as the fragrant white Viognier from Condrieu. The south is home to the full Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas, as well as the light Rose of Tavel. Chateauneuf-du-Pape can be a blend of up to 13 different varieties, 3 of which are even white. This is the main difference between it and Gigondas, where white varieties in the blend are not allowed. The most famous of these main red varieties are Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Cinsault, and the white ones are Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier.
