The wine stands out for its ripe dark-fruit aromas, typical of Gualtallary, with notes of black raspberry, red currant, and black cherry, along with delicate herbal touches. The well-integrated spicy notes from the oak aging evoke caramel and clove. On the palate, it is broad and layered, offering multiple dimensions of flavor that reflect the terroir and the character that Malbec develops in this area of Gualtallary.
Hand picked by the end of April. Careful hand selection of the cluster and grapes. Cold maceration at 10°C for 72 to 96 hours. Fermentation with selected yeast at a maximum temperature between 25°C and 28°C for 12 days. Aged in French oak for 10 months (50 % new 50% used).

Malbec
A lesser known fact of Malbec is that it is a native to southwestern France, but now better known as the iconic wine grape of Argentina, its second homeland. Broadly speaking, French Malbec tends to be more meaty, rustic and tannic, while examples from Argentina seem to be uniformly rich, ripe, jammy and juicy. On both sides of the Atlantic, Malbec wines are generally aged in oak to enhance the wine's structure and aging potential.
