With its rich aroma, lively acidity, plummy and briary fruit flavors, this Reserve Malbec comes with a dash of French elegance and just a touch of oak. The wine is a testament to its Argentine heritage and the French origin of the Bousquet family.
Hand-harvested at the end of March. Cold maceration at 10°C for 48 hours. Fermentation with selected yeasts at temperatures between 25°C and 27°C for 10 days, followed by an additional 14 days of maceration. Aged 50% in third- and fourth-use 400L French oak barrels for 6 months, with the remaining portion aged in stainless steel and concrete tanks.

Malbec
A lesser known fact of Malbec is that it is a native to southwestern France, but now better known as the iconic wine grape of Argentina, its second homeland. Broadly speaking, French Malbec tends to be more meaty, rustic and tannic, while examples from Argentina seem to be uniformly rich, ripe, jammy and juicy. On both sides of the Atlantic, Malbec wines are generally aged in oak to enhance the wine's structure and aging potential.
