Salla Estate White 2022
Sauvignon Blanc 45%, Chardonnay 40%, Riesling 15% from the winery's own vineyards, Blaskovo Vineyards, in the land of the village of Kiten, municipality of Provadia, aged 15 years. The soils are grey forest - carbonate, with sandy-clay deposits. The harvest takes place in September and October - on different days for different varieties.
The different varieties are processed and fermented independently, at a controlled temperature of 15 to 18ºC. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is stored in stainless steel containers and blended before the stabilisation treatments.
Salla White wine combines the overall concept of the wine estate. In combining the three varieties, the best expression of each is sought, and on the label the emphasis is on the horses (stylized horse head), the unique Lipizzaner breed, which in Bulgaria is grown only at Salla Estate.

More about this wine
Salla Estate Winery was established in 2010. It is located in the village of Blaskovo, Provadia municipality. The village is located in the heart of the famous Provadia plateau Sarta, only 60 km from Varna. That wine was made in this place during the Roman Empire is evidenced by the remains of pottery found in the vineyards. The grapes are grown on 300 decares of own vineyards, located next to the winery, on the southwestern slope. The planting material is from the French company Guillaume and includes the elite white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Riesling, the attractive red varieties Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and the local Bulgarian variety Vratsa Muscat. The winery makes wines with their own appearance, character and individuality, distinguishable and recognizable in limited series, which give maximum expression of the terroir and microclimate. All wines of the same producer
Black Sea region
The Black Sea coast is an area where nearly 30% of Bulgarian vineyards are concentrated. The climate, with warm summers and mild winters, is suitable for growing white varieties. Autumn is warm and long, which favours the accumulation of enough sugars to produce fine white semi-dry wines. Over 50% of white grape varieties in Bulgaria are grown here, and the most common are Dimyat, Riesling, Uni Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Traminer, even Sauvignon Blanc. The wines have a pleasant fruity aroma, rich taste and elegant freshness. The old endemic variety Dimyat, in addition to being suitable for dry, is often used for the production of dessert wines, as well as for fine aromatic distillates.More wines of this region
Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most famous white grape varieties, successfully found its way out of the home country France into a second one - New Zealand. The rapid development of the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most dramatic events in the world of wine. The intense and readily accessible flavour of a classic Marlborough is the main reason behind this success - fruity, intense, almost magical. The key selling point of Sauvignon Blanc is its straightforwardness – the flavours are rarely hidden away in the background, which makes Sauvignon Blanc an ideal wine with which to begin a journey in the world of wine. Classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas range from grass, nettles and asparagus to green apples and to more esoteric notes such as cats' pee, boxwood and gunflint.More wines of the same variety
