Това вино се произвежда от лози, засадени с висока плътност (17 000 лози на хектар; стандартната плътност за наименованието е 7 000 лози на хектар). Следователно конкуренцията между лозята е по-голяма. Тъй като всяко растение трябва да черпи запасите си от дълбоко в почвата, корените се потапят по-дълбоко, като следователно увеличават контакта с камъка (по-голям ефект на тероар във виното). Бурният растеж се контролира и растенията са по-здрави.Специфичното подрязване на растенията е резултат от стриктни изследвания и интензивна работа върху лозята (като изпъкване и изтъняване на листата). Растителността е по-малко гъста, далеч по-малко уязвима към болести и всяко растение носи най-много два или три грозда (1 растение произвежда 1 чаша вино). Полученото грозде е много концентрирано и показва голяма сложност.

Loire
This is a long and diverse region in western France, adjacent to the Loire River, which produces interesting wines - from charming and fruity to rich and long-lasting. A representative of the red varieties here is Cabernet Franc and the wines from Bougainville and Chinon are excellent, but in fact the white varieties are the specifics of the Loire. The most common are Chenin Blanc (Vouvray), Melon de Bourgogne (Muscadet) and Sauvignon Blanc (Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé). Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé have come out of the shadows of their region and can be said to be well known around the world - the former with the typical mineral-herbal character of the wines, and the latter with the greater complexity of the body and aroma due to contact with oak, although the variety is the same - Sauvignon Blanc.
