The Glenrothes Distillery

The Glenrothes Distillery is located in the town of Roths in the heart of the Speyside region. It was built in 1878 by James Stewart and Co., who at the same time also works at the nearby Macallan Distillery. Glenrothes is known for its quality, structure and taste, the result of over 140 years of whiskey production tradition. It is one of the few Scottish whiskey distilleries that has cooperageon site. Since the beginning, whiskey from the distillery has been one of the most sought after in Speyside. Under their own label of Berry Bros. & Rudd, The Glenrothes has been producing vintage whiskey since 1993. Vintage 2004 is considered to be the last known vintage bottled by the distillery. In 2018, The Glenrothes 25 Year Old was honored with the greatest honor of the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, the President’s trophy for Best Speyside Single Malt.
