Caprili

Caprili covers an area of 58 hectares in the southwestern part of the province of Montalcino - on the hills descending to the rivers Orcia and Ombrone. However, only 15.5 of them are vineyards. Sangiovese Grosso occupies 14.5 hectares and is used to produce the famous Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. and Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C.G. In addition to this variety, Trebbiano, Malvasia and Vermentino are also grown - on 0.8 hectares and they are the basis of S. Antimo Bianco D.O.C. The remaining 0.7 ha is planted with Moscadello for wine production Moscadello di Montalcino D.O.C.
