Krug

Joseph Krug was born in 1800 in Mainz. It grows in the heart of the Moselle wine region. Later, working as a merchant traveler, he came to Paris, where he met Hippolyte de Vivès, a famous wine merchant from Reims, and with his help founded the House of Krug Compagnie in 1843. Finally, he manages to dedicate himself to his dream - to make excellent Champagne every year, regardless of the vagaries of the climate. His belief is that excellent Champagne should be made from excellent wines, each from a separate vineyard, where terroir is crucial. For this purpose, he created a reserve of wines, which soon reached over 150. Following his unmistakable taste, from them he created his Champagne No.1. Krug Grande Cuvée - an elegant, rich and unique experience - a real revolution. This goes on for six generations - just Winique!
