Nemiroff

Nemiroff is an international brand of alcohol of Ukrainian origin, one of the largest producers of alcohol in the world, founded in 1992. The production and bottling of Nemiroff beverages takes place in the production facilities of plants in Nemirov (Vinnytsia region, Ukraine). The company is named after Nemirovska Vodka, the first mention of which dates back to 1752. In 1872, Count Grigory Stroganov opened a distillery in Nemirov, and his daughter, Princess Maria Shcherbatova, continued the business. Under the leadership of Maria Shcherbatova, record production volumes were reached during that time - over 5,000 bottles per day. The distillery in Nemirov was the first to make alcohol from grain instead of raw potatoes. The products were transported throughout the Russian Empire and exported abroad until 1920, when production was nationalized by the Bolsheviks. In 1992, the production of vodka resumed in Nemirov and the trademark Nemiroff was registered, and in 1994 the export of products began again. Today, they are sold in more than 80 countries, and the company is among the top three world leaders in the supply of vodka in duty-free shops. The brand accounts for about 40% of all spirits exported from Ukraine. Nemiroff's shareholders are Yakov Gribov, Bela Finkelstein and Anatoliy Kipish. As of November 2018, Nemiroff is the official sponsor of the UFC.
