Château Croix Mouton

Chateau Croix Mouton was purchased in 1997 by Jean-Philippe Janoueix, who began work on renovating the vineyards and the building. Today the winery is one of the best in Bordeaux, located near the Fronsac appeal. Croix Mouton prides itself on the unique style of the 17th-century building. The vineyards are classified Bordeaux Superieur and cover an area of ​​19 hectares - 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The soils are very diverse - clayey, calcareous and alluvial. The average age of the vines is high - 43 years. Old vines give more saturation and multi-layered wine. Croix Mouton makes excellent wines that you can drink when you are young. The larger share of Merlot makes them rich in flavor and good density.
