I’ve selected six wines with distinct characters—from the full-bodied Syrah and the elegant Cabernet Franc to the fresh Dimyat, the rosé, and the sparkling wine—to invite you to discover the diversity of the Bulgarian wine scene and turn every shared moment into a special experience.

Ayano Syrah Blend 2022
I chose this wine for its full-bodied character and rich aroma of dark cherry, cassis, and wild berries, complemented by earthy notes and spices. Its balanced body and long finish make it a wonderful choice to pair with red meats, dishes with rich sauces, and cozy evenings.

Enso Rosé SML 2024
I included this rosé made from the Shiroka Melnishka grape variety because of its intense pink-red color and the aroma of red forest berries and wild strawberries, with a delicate mineral nuance. I love the balance between its rounded flavor and subtle mineral finish, which makes it perfect for fish, white meats, and shared summer memories.

Sarva Dimyat 2024 Dragomir
I chose this Dimyat for its fresh character and elegant aroma of citrus, lemon zest, white flowers, and ripe apple. Its juicy, smooth body and refreshing finish make it a wonderful choice for light dishes, salads, white meats, and soft cheeses.

KAYF Rosé Brut 2020 Once Concept
I chose this sparkling rosé made from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir because of its complex character, developed through extended aging on the fine lees. Aromas of red forest fruits, raspberry, and wild strawberry intertwine with notes of toasted bread and brioche, while its creamy texture and fine bubbles make it a wonderful choice for special occasions and festive evenings.

The Virgin Gamza 2024 Magura
I’ve included this wine to showcase the distinctive Bulgarian Gamza variety with its sparkling cherry color and delicate aromas of raspberry, cherry, and wild strawberries. Its fresh fruit profile and subtle spiciness make it a great match for soft cheeses, pasta, and red meat dishes.

Cabernet Franc Tsarev Brod 2022
I selected this Cabernet Franc for its deep purple color and complex aroma, featuring notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, and distinctive grassy undertones. Its dry, fruity, and slightly spicy flavor makes it an excellent choice for red meats, cured meats, and cheeses when I’m looking for a wine with a distinct character.
