A blend of four white grape varieties, dominated by Semillon (45%) and complemented by Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Pale, lemon gold color. A bright, flinty nose with notes of lemon peel, apricot, tangerine, meringue and honeysuckle. Twelve months in contact with the fine lees adds creaminess and complexity, presenting an appealing full-bodied flavor and length. Elegant flavors of citrus and white blossom, knit with a minerality, some salinity, and complex acidity provide a long and smooth finish.

Holden Manz
Located in the top, southern-most corner of the Franschhoek Valley, in the embrace of its spectacular mountains, the 22 hectare Holden Manz Wine Estate is situated between the Franschhoek River and Stony Brook at 300 meters above sea level. An exclusive grower of red grapes, the Estate only cultivates its top 16 hectares under vineyards, notably Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot. Long, cold and wet winters allow the vines to rest well, while hot dry summers and a gentle autumn allows for slow ripening. Featuring a rich and diverse terroir influenced by its unique natural surroundings, with three different soil types and a marked seasonal climate, the estate’s vineyards are perfectly suited to their intention – the production of ultra-premium wines made for the discerning wine connoisseur.

Semillon
Семийон (Sémillon) е един от големите сортове грозде в Бордо, което се отглежда главно в района на Сен Емилион, в областта Бордо, откъдето очевидно идва и името му. В купажи със Совиньон блан той дава началото на едно от най-великите десертни вина в света - Сотерн, както и на различни бели вина от Бордо. Отглежда се и в някои райони на Южна Франция, където благодарение на способността си да дава пълни, но не много характерни вина, се използва като основа за сухи и сладки бели вина. Семийон е широко разпространен и в Австралия, както и в Южна Америка, особено в Чили и Аржентина. Отглежда се и в Северна Америка, особено в щатите по Западното крайбрежие, както и в Нова Зеландия, Източна Европа и Южна Африка, където през XIX-и век дори е бил най-разпространеният сорт в страната. Семийон има доста скромно киселинно съдържание, а доброто ниво на захар води до вина със средно до високо алкохолно съдържание, така че в топлите климатични зони се получават вина със забележима структура. Вината с отлично качество, произведени от чист Семийон, са по-скоро рядкост, като преобладава типичното купажиране на този сорт грозде със Совиньон блан.
