Gonzalez Byass

The company was founded in 1836 by the Spaniard Manuel Maria González Angel and its importer in Great Britain, Robert Blake Byass. González Byass is one of the classic bodegas in the place, which only has the right to produce a drink called Sherry, also called Sherry Triangle. The winery, to this day, is family owned, and has the best plots in Jerez. The sherries they produce vary in style from very dry to very sweet. The flagship is the brand Tio Pepe. It changes the perception, for generations, of Sherry, as a sweet drink for the elderly. Today, the González family presents the whole variety of winemaking in Spain. They have wineries in the most emblematic areas, and in 2016 they joined the Chilean family winery Veramonte.
