Le Chiuse

Le Chiuse is a mansion of the legendary Biondi-Santi family from the late 18th century. The current owner, Simonetta Valiani, is the great-great-granddaughter of Ferruccio Biondi-Santi. With the help of her husband and son, she started making Le Chiuse wine in 1993. Until then, the vines were rented to her uncle and were used in the making of Biondi Santi Riserva. There are five vineyards, all with Sangiovese Grosso aged between 26 and 2 years. The terrain is rich in fossils, crossed by strips of clay and with a good presence of marble and tuff. The result is impressive - a wine that erupts aromas, with good density and always balanced strength.
