Paxton is a family winery in the most famous wine region of South Australia, McLaren Vale. Founded in 1979 by David Paxton - one of Australia's most respected winemakers - a reputation built over 30 years. Both of his sons currently work on the estate, one among the vines and the other in the cellar. In 2000, the family released their first wine under the PAXTON brand: 1998 Paxton Shiraz. Today they also produce Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rose, Tempranillo, AAA (Shiraz and Grenache blend), MV Shiraz and others. The top wine Paxton EJ Shiraz is made from a plot with over 120-year-old vines. Paxton's portfolio is a collection of wines showcasing the excellent quality of McLaren Vale grapes, which reveals the nature of the varieties and the diversity of nature. The winery is a certified organic producer, following the principles of biodynamics. In the cellar, the policy is to minimize interference in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit from the vine to the bottle.
