Tiezzi Enzo

After years of working as a winemaker and agronomist in the most important wineries of Montalcino and Montepulciano in Tuscany, Enzo Tiezzi decided to take on the challenge of having his own mansion and wine. He managed to buy four properties near the fortress walls of the town of Montalcino and first bottled it in 1989. His main desire is to preserve and continue the tradition of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines. The maceration is also long in special barrels called "tini", and the aging is only in giant barrels of Slavonian oak, known as "botte", which gives the Sangiovese variety a fine, silky style. Production is small, only 1,700 cartons of the two wines, making them difficult to find. You have to try before the harvest is over.
