Pale straw with a touch of gold around the rim. Ripe pear and melon meld together and combine with crushed rocks to create an enticing nose. The palate shows juicy, yellow stone fruit with a highlight of litchis before bracing acidity brings it to a crisp and taut mid palate. The finish is marked by an intriguing fresh and salty kiss.

Radford Dale
Across everything they do at Radford Dale, they aim to create wines of complete individuality, always. Founded 1988 by Ben Radford and Alex Dale, they are not afraid of stunning the norm and were early champions for the potential of Chenin Blanc, Elgin Pinot Noir, Gamay and costal Chardonnay. They are proud to be the first producer in 20 years to plant Gamay Noir, and their Pinotage expressions are increasingly well received by the international sommelier set. They follow sustainable agricultural methods and minimal intervention winemaking at their two cellars; on the ocean-facing granite slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch and at their own certified Organic Estate up in the mountains in cool-climate Elgin. Their wines are proudly site-driven, unmanipulated and balanced - because they believe that South African wines should reflect their natural environment, vintage and distinct terroirs. Made using natural yeast fermentations, low or no adjustments, minimal usage of new oak. All of their own vineyards are organically certified. Their wines tend to have restrained alcohols and healthy natural acidities, both hallmarks of elegant and refreshing wines, with balance and authenticity.

Стеленбош е най-популярният винен район в Южна Африка. Намира се само на 25 километра източно от Кейп Таун, сравнително близко до Атлантическия океан. Състои се основно от полегати хълмове, които са осеяни с лозя. Редуването на ветровити хълмове с по-хладен климат и защитени от ветровете по-топли долини създават микротероари с разнообразни климатични условия, които са подходящи за различни сортове и различни стилове вина. Районът притежава и уникално разнообразие от над 50 различни вида почви: гранитни и шистови най-вече на хълмистите части и песъкливо глинести в по-равнинните части и долините, като всички тези почви са много благоприятни за отглеждане на лозя и качествено узряване на гроздето, а също и предразполагат към вина с различен характер, дори и от едни и същи сортове. От по-свежи, леки и елегантни към по плътни, наситени и концентрирани вина. Климатът е сравнително топъл с много интензиво слънце до обяд, но има и хладни течения от югоизток, най-вече следобяд от близостта с Атлантическия океан. Каберне Совиньон и Шенин Блан са най-добре изявяващите се сортове от района, като Каберне Совиньонът развива очарователно землисто ухание и минерално усещане на вкус, особено от лози засадени на гранитни почви, а Шенина се получава изключително свеж, изобилен, плодово ароматен и наситен, а и е добре адаптивен, тъй като толерира сушите и горещините, характерни за летата в Стеленбош. Сира, Пти Вердо, Мерло, Шардоне, Совиньон Блан и Ризлинг също даават страхотни вина от този тероар, като специален е Пинотажът, уникален, червен сорт кръстоска между Пино Ноар и Сензо създаден в Южна Африка през 1925 година. Стеленбош е родното място на този сорт и както почвите, така и климатичните и топографски особености са много подходящи за отглеждането му.
