Vignoble des 2 Lunes
Vignobles des 2 Lunes is a 14-hectare mansion in the heart of Alsace, following the principles of biodynamics and certified by Demeter. It has been owned by the Buecher family for seven generations. Nowadays, sisters Amelie and Cecile Buecher are contributing to the development of the domain in their quest for modernization, but with respect for the past. In 1997 they stopped using pesticides and in 2007 received their biodynamic certificate. The work in the vineyards is extremely at hand, even the grapes are brought to the winery in small 1/4-tons of baskets. After light pressing at night, it is gravitationally fed to the concrete fermentation tanks. The aim of the cellar is to preserve the authenticity of the grapes - wild yeast, without additives or manipulations of any kind, a minimum amount of sulfur when bottled. Some whites, namely Pinot Blanc and Riesling, as well as most reds, are aged in large plain wooden tonneaux for nine to ten months. To the production of classic Alsatian wines, Amelie and Cecile add the production of sparkling wine. The sparkling wines of 2 Lunes are light and ethereal, characterized by freshness and strong mineral presence.

Alsace
Alsace is located in northeastern France, between the Vosges Mountains and the French border with Germany, marked by the Rhine. This is a long, thin region, 185 kilometers from north to south and only 40 kilometers from east to west. The key wine-growing regions here are located on the lower slopes of the Vosges, with eastern and southeastern exposure. Alsace specializes in white varieties such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. These varieties, naturally distributed in neighboring Germany, in contrast, here are produced in a much drier style. The best presented are the dry and mineral Riesling, the spicy and strong Gewürztraminer, which go well with the local cuisine. Other interesting and noteworthy are the light and fresh Sylvaner, as well as Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris.
